The field guide
Small pictures. A story you put together.
Emoji Trail is a small independent browser game by elka96. It turns a sequence of pictures into a little storytelling challenge: read the scene, then arrange a shuffled bag of words into the story it shows.
What you can play
The main adventure has five worlds in this order: Harry Potter, Marvel, Star Wars, Ocean and Space. The three fan collections have 12 stories each; Ocean and Space have 20 each. That is 76 main-world stories, plus 12 bonus Legendary challenges and a separate three-step starter.
The starter samples Hagrid’s cake, Hulk’s tacos and Luke’s twin suns. The original Ocean and Space stories focus on visible events and small surprises. All stories and hints in this edition are free, with no account, download, timer or lives required.
What makes a good clue here
A scene should show its subject and action. The harder stories add events, causes or twists without asking you to guess an invisible character or a camera angle. Named character keys and a shared connector key help keep the fan puzzles readable.
Story length gives a useful starting point for difficulty, but meaning matters too. The puzzle is to explain the pictures, not merely form any grammatical sentence from the bag. The worked clue guide shows that difference in a simple original example.

A small game shaped by feedback
Player reports have led to clearer clue ordering, visible character and connector keys, the removal of confusing line numbers, and a dark appearance option. The current starter also gives a quick taste of each of the three lead worlds.
The game is still being refined. If a sentence seems unnatural, a picture suggests a different event or a control is difficult to use, a specific example is more useful than a rating alone. Include the puzzle title, your expected reading and your device/browser when relevant.
Independent and unofficial
The Harry Potter, Marvel and Star Wars collections are unofficial fan puzzles. Emoji Trail is not affiliated with or endorsed by the owners of those franchises. Their names and characters belong to their respective owners.
The original Ocean and Space collections, the word-bag mechanics and the visible clue guides are part of this independent game.
